Can’t see the numbers on the cable box or the ticker on CNN? See Your Eye Doctor

Difficulty viewing numbers on digital displays from distances greater than 10 feet are a good indication it might be time for an eye examination.

While people with good vision may have difficulty seeing letters or objects at a distance that have poor contrast, these digital displays typically have good contrast and illumination against a dark background, therefore should be easier to see.

The same goes for the ticker on a hi definition, LCD or plasma TV – if you can’t read it, get your eyes checked.  Better safe than sorry!
