FDA Approves Lucentis For Vision Loss Caused By Blocked Retinal Veins

The AP (6/24) reports, “The Food and Drug Administration has approved the eye drug Lucentis [ranibizumab injection] as a treatment for vision loss caused by blocked veins in the retina, Genentech said Wednesday.” In 2006, the treatment also was approved “for neurovascular, or ‘wet,’ age-related macular degeneration.” MedPage Today (6/23) also covered the story.
